Ridgid Miter Saw Stand Cord Keeper
thingiverse
I purchased the Ridgid Universal Miter Saw Stand for my Ridgid Miter Saw and discovered that neither product comes with a built-in cord keeper. To address this, I designed a clamp that attaches to the frame of the miter saw stand, providing a convenient place to wrap up the cord when not in use. Originally, it was meant to snap on, but after testing, I decided to bolt it on instead, as it tends to pop off during use if not secured properly. To secure the clamp, use two M7 x 50 bolts with matching washers (one on each side) and nuts. This will ensure a sturdy attachment that can withstand regular use. For optimal printing results, flip the top upside down (180 degrees) so that the large flag side is facing upwards towards the print bed. This design was created in Fusion 360, and I've included the source file for your reference. The model is fully parametric, allowing you to make adjustments as needed if you're not satisfied with the fit. While it's not perfect, I've gotten close enough through trial and error, given the time-consuming nature of printing this part. If you want a factory-like finish, consider printing in orange.
