Ridgid 18v Battery Connector
thingiverse
I needed to utilize my Ridgid 18v batteries in other projects, so I discovered Simhopp's model. But I didn't want to have to purchase the actual battery connector part. To resolve this issue, I reverse-engineered the connector using contacts from a standard US-style electrical socket that are glued in place. Next, I modified the adapter plate to make it flat where the battery connector can be superglued onto it. Before gluing the contacts to the battery connector body, I soldered wires onto them. Then, I dry-fitted the parts onto a battery and sanded them down if necessary. If there were any gaps to fill, I applied superglue and sprinkled in baking soda. Ridgid_battery_mount_2 is an edited version of the battery mount that adds screw holes and removes some material. This makes it suitable for creating a battery holding rack by attaching several of these to scrap wood or your workbench or whatever you prefer.
