thingiverse
This is used to protect two lenses on the Ricoh Theta SC. It can be deployed quickly and the two covers serve as a grip to hold the Theta SC securely. When opened, the ends of the covers can be clamped into an Arca-swiss compatible ballhead. A video clip of the case is available at https://youtu.be/JFEMPIlKMq4. The following hardware is required: 1. Two sets of Brass Chicago Screws: Diameter 4.5mm, Length 25mm. 2. Four Rare Earth Neodymium Magnets: Diameter 5 x 5mm. 3. One Bolt: 1/4"-20, Length 1/2". 4. Four Countersunk Screws: M3, Length 12mm. 5. A small piece of recycled bicycle inner tube. To print the required parts: 1. theta_BF_BaseV2.3 (one unit). 2. theta_BF_Top (one unit). 3. theta_BF_Dial (one unit). 4. theta_BF_CoverV1.7 (two units). Important notes to consider: 1. Countersunk Screws M3 x 12mm are used to secure the "theta_BF_Top" to "theta_BF_BaseV2.3". 2. Apply Loctite to the Chicago Screw threads. 3. Use a needle file to clean up holes for the Chicago Screws in "theta_BF_BaseV2.3" and "theta_BF_CoverV1.7". 4. Use UHU Hart glue to attach Rare Earth Magnets (available at http://www.uhu.com/en/products/model-building-adhesives/detail/uhu-hart-1.html?step=84&cHash=3256736a01e02c7f72c8319c9e3d707b). 5. Ensure Rare Earth Magnets are inserted in the correct direction.
