The 8mm Z-axis top features a press fit rod clamp with a 608 Bearing Leadscrew capture, similar to the standard MendelMax design. To assemble this component, simply tap the Z extrusion as directed in the original MendelMax instructions; reaming is not necessary for proper rod clamping on a well-calibrated printer.
