Ribbon Cable mod for Hypercube X-Carriage with Cable Chain
thingiverse
This allows you to replace the bundle of cables going from your control board and PSU etc to the x-carriage (i.e. heater, end-stop, fans, sensor). It uses a PCB at each end with a length of 20 conductor ribbon cable in-between with 20 pin IDC connectors. Gerber file for the PCB attached, however this is a direct link to the EasyEDA project I created .. https://easyeda.com/alandyoung/3dprinterbreakout I had 10 of the pcb's made by JLC PCB (https://jlcpcb.com/) for just a couple of dollars. **This mod requires the blower fan to be relocated as that space is used by the x-carriage mount.** Note: Feel free to optimize the PCB design, this was my first attempt at doing one and was just a case of me redoing a test veroboard to a PCB once I knew it all worked, I have had this up and running for a while now without issue - however as I still am prone to tweak things I have left it set to WIP. **Print List:** 1 of X-Carriage Mount 1 of X-Carriage Lid 1 of Base Mount 1 of Cable Mount - to Frame 1 of Cable Mount - Link 1 of Ribbon Bracket x of Cable Mount - Link as required - I used 23 for my 300 x 200 printer, they fit together alternating back and front.
