Backsplash tiles can be prohibitively pricey, but crafting your own brings a sense of accomplishment that offsets the higher upfront cost. While making your own might require an investment of time equivalent to the expense, it offers a unique creative outlet that's hard to put a price on. I relied on rapidset cement to create mine, and my testing process is still ongoing with various molds but this one appears to be quite effective. This particular mold is designed for creating rhombuses with 3-inch sides and a 1/4-inch thickness.
