Struts Can Be Cut To Whatever Length You Like, But If Making IVM, All Struts Will Be The Same Length Unless Also Doing A Fractal Scale. Joints Are Oversized To Account For Variations In Dowel Diameters So Don't Worry If Some Fit Looser Than Others, Once Screwed It Should Feel Good. You Could Adjust Your Flow Rate Or Shim It Up With Paper When Needed. A 1" Screw Is Used Because It's Easier To Screw Into Wood At That Length. Pictures Of Models Created In The Past For Modular Furniture Systems Using IVM Are Included To Give You An Idea Of What Can Be Built With This Geometry, But Explore Other Ones Too! A Version Where Dowel Can Slide Through Joint Is Also Available. The Hole Is Larger To Accommodate Dowel Diameter Variations. It Can Be Used As A Pivot (Pulley, Wheel, Gear, Lever...Etc).
