Rhombi Connect Works with Plastic Cake Pop Sticks, Priced at Just $1 for a Pack of 25. You can cut them down to size with wire cutters or old scissors and sand off the sharp edges. The sticks I'm using measure around 3.8mm in diameter, so I made the connectors 4.2mm wide to allow for shrinkage. I printed these with PLA, using a 10% infill and a raft to keep them secure on the print bed. You might be able to get away without a raft, but some of mine came loose without it. Remember, Rhombi Connects are not safe for small children who might put things in their mouths.
