I designed an alternative mount for the Rhode Video Microphone Pro flash/tripod holder. The original thin, brittle metal mount on this mic breaks easily, which is likely intentional to prevent damage to the mic or camera, but it's still frustrating. I created a new mount with 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threads for easy tripod mounting. I used carbon fiber PETG filament, but any type of filament should work.
