RH&DR Hercules
thingiverse
Hercules, a majestic steam locomotive, rolled into New Romney on April 20th, 1927. Although similar to its Pacific cousins, this stalwart engine boasted slightly longer dimensions and smaller driving wheels, making it a unique addition to the railway family. On July 16th, 1927, Hercules proudly hauled the inaugural train from Hythe, marking the opening day of the line with great fanfare. By the time the railway was commandeered by the Army during World War Two, Hercules had proven herself worthy of fame as the engine used for the armoured train, showcasing her strength and reliability in times of need.
