RGB Matrix display over wifi arduino 384 leds
thingiverse
Some colleagues and I were assigned a school project to design a Wi-Fi controlled display with scrolling text. We succeeded in this endeavor, and I'd like to share the details with you. The system utilizes a Wemos D1 mini microcontroller, which connects to your Wi-Fi network. From there, navigate to the assigned IP address, configure it through the Arduino software if needed, and enter your login credentials. You can then input any text at various speeds, colors, and brightness levels. Parts required for this project include: 1x Wemos D1 mini (available on Aliexpress) 5x 70cm Addressable WS2811 60 LED strip (also on Aliexpress) 1x 5V 2A cellphone charger Some wire Wood Plexiglass Lasercutter I'll upload the DXF files soon. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! The average cost of this project is approximately 130€.
