RGB LED "Angel Eyes" (LED circles)
thingiverse
I'm still on a tight deadline with the upcoming holiday rush ! My 'Eye in the Sky' project (a brilliant LED ring) is now complete. The outer diameter measures 18 cm. You'll need to grab some WS2812B LED strip, specifically the type that comes in 30 LEDs per meter and has enough length for 12 LEDs. Check out this incredible demo here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D21Yo9PUFCg Instructions Just print out one base and one top part, then stick a piece of WS2812B LED strip onto the inner circle of the base component. (Don't forget to solder the wires to this LED strip beforehand) There's a special opening at the back to help guide your cables through. You can connect multiple 'Eyes in the Sky' projects together and still control them with a single controller, using just 3 wires between each one. When you stick the top part onto the base and apply some hot glue to cover the cable entrance hole, it's easy to make your 'Eye in the Sky' completely waterproof for outdoor use.
