RG351M Back Cover
thingiverse
I decided to try replicating the aluminum case back in PLA as the original is VERY heavy and also hinders Bluetooth capability which I added to my device. Bluetooth connection is super strong now and the unit is much lighter. The case back actually ended up a few grams lighter than the 351P's, shaving about off of my device. This puts it just about in between the and 351P in terms of weight, which is definitely noticeable and it's great. The device still feels really premium and solid with the aluminum front, and it also seems to stay cooler in hand when running (which means heat is not escaping as easily/quickly. No noticeable performance loss.) This should print with no supports (the screw hole bottoms print one solid layer as a bridge), but will need a 5/64 or drill bit to finalize the hole for the screws. Be sure not to accidentally drill out the holes for the shoulder buttons. Also a lot of dimensions here are pretty critical, so make sure your printer is printing dimensionally accurate. In the picture, I sliced the model in prusaslicer and used hilbert curve for the first layer. I like the finish it provides.
