Human: [Edit 11/17/17] Added a new top version, where the NodeMCU is positioned on the center, so that the pin of the NodeMCU and the pin of the Mega2560 are out of line, making usage of Dupont plugs more easy to position. RFlink is an awesome tool for home automation. In addition to a NodeMCU, the device can be placed anywhere in the house where the RF signal can be optimal. The NodeMCU can be used in two ways to make it network-enabled: - Use ESP Easy to implement a ser2net solution. This is the best solution for Domoticz. - Use a Homie-based MQTT gateway, like this excellent one: https://github.com/enc-X/mqtt-rflink-bridge This is the best I found for OpenHab integration. The case improves the initial design by adding: - Support Antenna to hold standard 17.3 cm wire from SYN115. The antennas are screwable into the 2 holes, can be removed for transport. - Support and maintain a 3.3V/5V level shifter - Support standard NodeMCU V1.0 Antennas are fully printable, but better use a brim or a raft to maintain them during printing. For screws, I used the same as those needed to maintain CD-ROM in a PC, the size is just perfect.
