RFID Kids Jukebox

RFID Kids Jukebox

I decided to build a Jukebox for my kid. Check https://github.com/MiczFlor/RPi-Jukebox-RFID for instructions. Just get a raspberry, an RFID card reader, and some optional sound cards. I used a HifiBerry and a pair of small speakers. Of course, the housing had to be custom-made, so I designed it to be 3D printed. The housing holds the speakers in the front with the rfid reader, providing a reading slot and an extra slot for storing the RFID cards. I connected a power bank for DC supply to the bottom lid of the center section. I used brass nuts in the front and back cover, which were melted into the PLA using a soldering iron. This is just the beginning. Next steps include adding an extra opening lid for maintenance and replacing the SD card, as well as extra mounting holes for the ON/OFF switch and USB recharge socket - although I ended up cutting out the latter one later on.
