RFID Badge Caddy
thingiverse
I received a new RFID badge at work as part of the project's progression from concept to small-scale manufacturing and sale. The badge can hold two credit cards and a laminate sheet in its slot, with a reference image included for better understanding, though not drawn to scale. The hoop has been reinforced since earlier prototypes, and so far it hasn't broken off my badge yet. I aimed for a corporate look when designing the badge. The three lines across the back add a sense of style and extra strength. The hex detail on the front looks best when printed at an angle. I'm proud to have worked on this project, which has been a valuable learning experience in 3D design education. The recommended resale value for each badge is $10. I donate 100% of my profits from selling these badges to Cruces Creatives, a non-profit makerspace where I volunteer. The sales have allowed us to purchase large quantities of filament and parts, which will greatly benefit our community.
