RFD900 Antenna Holder
thingiverse
If you're rocking the RFD900 case and fed up with your antennas flopping wildly around, you need this innovative locking mechanism now! This clever design secures the antennas firmly at 45 or 90 degrees. I can attest that it works perfectly with my RFD900 landing gear mount to position the antennas optimally on my TBS Discovery Pro. Before printing, be sure to scale up the Sketchup file by .01 first. Print Settings Brand: MakerBot Model: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .25mm Infill: 25% Notes: In reality, I used a Flashforge Creator Pro, which is essentially a Makerbot clone. My printer of choice was Simplify 3D at .25mm with 25% full honeycomb infill. The 90-degree one definitely required support. Conversely, when printing the 45-degree one upright, it did not require any additional supports. Post-Printing Installing the Mount Align the antennas to a 90-degree angle from your radio, one pointing left and one right. Once you do that, slide the mount over the top of the antennas until it meets resistance. When working with the 45-degree mount, moving the antennas into their final position allows the mount to slip in and lock them securely in place.
