RF500 Cyclops / Chimera
thingiverse
I wasn't thrilled with the original RF500 Hotend and since my printer looks like it's ready for dual-printing, I picked up a cheap Chinese Cyclops clone and figured out how to mount it. Remove the old hotend, take off the layer fan and attach the holder using the two fan screws. This is work in progress; I haven't used it yet but plan on doing so soon. You'll need three extra M3x16 screws. I printed it in ABS, but PLA should work just fine. edit: I added a reverse version of the holder because when I started to mount it along with the layer duct: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:803045/files the whole thing looked really big and was wasting space. Plus, in the reverse version it's possible to easily reach the chimera/cyclops screws!
