RF100 Fan Bracket

RF100 Fan Bracket

This is a straightforward part-cooling fan bracket designed for the Renkforce RF100. It securely holds a 50mm fan and expertly directs air towards the sides of the nozzle. The fan itself operates at 12V and draws power from the same supply as the extruder cooler. Please be aware that excessive cooling can severely compromise adhesion between the first layer and print bed. A switch inserted into the fan's power feed to disable it while printing the initial layer would be highly advisable, given the RF100 was not designed for part-cooling fans, lacking a dedicated output on the controller board. In my setup, I've incorporated a PWM controller and a switch in the feed, allowing me to control both when and how fast the fan spins. The bracket is printed as a single piece and attaches via the front mounting screw typically used for the extruder cover. For optimal printing results, place the side with the round hole (where the fan mounts) flat on the bed. The overhangs should print without issues; I've successfully printed this part without supports on my Renkforce RF100 before installing it.
