RF Wrenches N-Connector Adapter
thingiverse
I cobbled together a makeshift solution to avoid the hassle of sweaty fingertips when attaching my N-SMA adapters to my VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). To my surprise, it provided exactly the right amount of torque, similar to hand-tightening without any sweat if printed with PLA. If excessive force is applied, the adapter's mouth opens, preventing potential damage. It's a clever feature that adds an extra layer of protection. The parametrized FreeCAD sketch seems to work well for adapters between 5mm and approximately 25mm in size. The STL examples provided are fixed at 20mm and 15mm mouth-width settings.
