Rey's Lightsaber (Short Version)

May 11, 2020 - A lot of confusion surrounds this object. Initially, two versions were designed: a standard version and a longer one that holds a flashlight. This led to confusion about which STL parts belonged to each version. To clear up this confusion, both versions have been separated and made into individual objects. This short version uses all the included pieces. The Long Version can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4079750 This is my interpretation of the lightsaber Rey holds at the end of Rise of Skywalker. After seeing the movie four times, I even took a photo of it with my phone on my last visit (keep moving, these aren't the droids you're looking for). Even so, getting a clear view of it was challenging. It's probably already available online, but let's not dwell on that. This object requires collapsing blades from the Original Collapsing Lightsaber by 3DPRINTINGWORLD: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3606120 Use his files to print your blade. Rey's blade is yellow, but I don't have a printed yellow one at present, so I used a red one for demonstration purposes. To make the top opening functional and 3D printer friendly, some design adjustments were made. Despite these changes, I think this rendition is impressive. The Top piece with the opening triangle is a print-in-place part that should function properly. Minor adjustments are still being made to it, so an update may be released in the near future.
