Rey's Lightsaber (Long Version)

May 11, 2020 This has undergone numerous slight revisions, most recently separating the lengthy and concise versions into distinct entities. The concise version is now located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4357093 This rendition represents my take on the lightsaber Rey holds at the very end of Rise of Skywalker. I saw the movie four times in the theater and during my last visit, even captured a picture with my phone (keep moving, these are not the droids you're searching for). Despite this, obtaining a clear visual of it is challenging. It's likely available on Google by now, but hey. It requires the collapsing blades from the Original Collapsing Lightsaber by 3DPRINTINGWORLD https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3606120 So utilize his files to print your blade. I acknowledge that Rey's blade color is yellow, but I do not possess a printed one in yellow at this moment, so I used a red one for demonstration purposes. To make the top opening functional and 3D printer-friendly, I had to take some liberties with the design. Despite these modifications, I believe it's an impressive rendition. The Top piece with the opening triangle is a print-in-place part that should function properly. Your bed leveling must be perfect or the moveable parts may fuse to the rest of the top and not work as intended. Printing You will need to print all the STLs in this Thing to build Rey's Lightsaber Long version. The only one you can skip is the Flashlight insert if you have an actual flashlight or plan to use one. Without a flashlight, you require the insert to occupy the same space as the light. Apparently, the flashlight I used is no longer available. The dimensions are: 88mm long by 25.5mm diameter. I allowed for 90mm x 26mm in the design because the rubber on/off button on the end necessitates a little clearance.
