This started off as the basic design of the Printer Carriage for the Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro-C Dual Extruder Printer. The original concept failed to function properly from the get-go. I exhaustively researched multiple designs and configurations until finding a configuration that worked reliably. At several points, I believed I had finally found a good solution, only to discover one major flaw or another. I eventually reworked the Geeetech original design once more, fine-tuning it until it performed optimally. This refined version employs two LM8LUU bearings and incorporates an extended end-stop contact area, providing superior connection with the end-stop switch. One recurring issue I experienced was that a filament release lever on one of the dual extruders collided with a z-bar before the printer carriage firmly contacted the end-stop switch. This problem may not affect you if your setup features a single extruder. To use this Printer Carriage design, adjustments will be necessary in your software. The belt path has been optimized for smoother belt movement and easier travel.
