The "Revolver" is a 3D printed puzzle consisting of 41 independent moving parts that revolve and slide around a two-part Retainer. Easy prints are all involved, resulting in an impressive outcome. Similar to a Rubik's cube, the goal is to align matching colors by grouping them together. However, the Revolver offers a unique twist with its dual puzzles: you can either align rows or columns of matching colors. A single-color version, available separately for those who prefer it without six filament colors, features six indented shapes to be aligned instead. One space remains vacant to allow Sliders to move one space at a time, necessitating strategic planning as you work towards your goal. If you become frustrated, you can always disassemble the puzzle and realign it, but if you're committed to solving it, consider gluing the thread in place to prevent separation. Assembling this puzzle is straightforward, although you'll need at least six colors of filament or be prepared to paint the Sliders. The images provided showcase a striking outcome, with the Retainer printed in black and all Revolvers in white, accompanied by sliders in red, yellow, blue, orange, and green. Since one Slider must remain out to facilitate movement, it's recommended that you match the color of this Slider with the corresponding Revolver to minimize visibility. This results in a seamless transition between colors, effectively turning the space into a block of the same color as the Revolver. Completing this puzzle requires dedication but yields an incredibly satisfying outcome. To achieve optimal results, you'll need access to at least six colors of filament or be prepared to paint them. Most 3D printing machines capable of producing fine details and using good slicing apps should encounter no issues with the fine tolerances involved in this print. Witnessing the puzzle come together can be incredibly fulfilling; however, once it's complete and the Slider colors are mixed up, it can become quite frustrating until you finally solve it. The sense of accomplishment upon completion is well worth the effort invested. Now that you've printed the puzzle, can you successfully solve it? If so, please share images of your triumph!
