Reversed Da Vinci 1.0a Bowden extruder
thingiverse
I modified Evan Nguyen's extruder design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:846434 to fit a Da Vinci 1.0a printer, complete with plastic casing and trim intact. I utilized AndrewT111's e3d hotend mod found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1510425. This adaptation requires reversing the extruder stepper motor rotation direction in the Repetier configuration header file. It's also possible to rewire the stepper connector for the same outcome. Minor adjustments are necessary to the tension arm/pressure release lever. Print Settings: Printer: Da Vinci 1.0a Repetier Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 50% + Notes: Printed with ABS for heat resistance. Post-Printing Installation: See Evan Nguyen's original thing at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:846434 for installation details. Additional information can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1510425. Ensure the washers and shims are properly aligned to avoid tension arm/pressure release lever sticking, which would prevent it from applying pressure on the filament. How I Designed This: I switched the input hole and bowden adapter hole of the original design using Tinkercad.
