Reverse Plunger for Nerf Longstrike

Reverse Plunger for Nerf Longstrike

thingiverse

Reverse plunger component from a Nerf Longstrike, slightly modified for easier printing: internal overhang replaced with 45° incline for smoother production. Dimensions taken directly from original part using precise micrometer measurements. Detailed model constructed in Solidworks software. Update: Printed in ABS filament with horizontal orientation, resulting in slight elliptical deformation but overall satisfactory outcome. When attaching to existing internals, the head split slightly when connecting to air-restrictor, likely due to shrinkage. Printing the part marginally larger or sanding down the joint for flush fit before gluing is recommended. Once installed, the part performed flawlessly and gun fired as normal, meeting expectations.
