Locking reverse mount adapter for Sony E-mount cameras and lenses with 49mm filter thread enables close focus photography without a macro lens, ideal for photographers who require precise depth of field control. A manual aperture lens is recommended for optimal results. The printed thread on this model may take some trial and error to align correctly due to the inherent imperfections in 3D printing technology. Once aligned properly, it securely holds the lens in place. This adapter was specifically designed and tested with the Meike/Neewer 35mm f1.7 lens on a Sony A6400 camera, achieving a magnification ratio of approximately 1:1.5. However, it's worth noting that the focus depth is quite shallow, and increasing the f-number can help to improve it. Unfortunately, this adapter causes some distortion vignetting, making an extension tube a recommended accessory for optimal image quality. Since I only have experience with a 49mm threaded manual lens, this model is all I can offer at present. If you require a different diameter thread, please don't hesitate to ask! Update: A new 52mm model has been added to the collection, but it remains untested. Update 2: A 55mm model has also been created and is now available for use, albeit still untested. Update 3: The 40.5mm model has undergone testing with a 16-50 PZ kit lens, and it's essential to note that the aperture must be controlled electronically and the lens removed before turning off the camera to ensure proper functionality.
