Reverse Engineering Project

This final project for INGE3809 (first semester 2014) showcased the capabilities of my students, who had no prior CAD experience. Divided into four groups, each measured physical machine parts from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez and created a detailed 3D model using Siemens NX 8.5. The challenge required individual effort with collaborative assembly from other groups. This project demonstrates what first-semester students can achieve with proper guidance and motivation. I'm proud to acknowledge my 28 dedicated students for their hard work, and more 3D models are on the way.
