Reverse Bowden Z-Tops and Spool holder
prusaprinters
Needed a way to mount my spool on the inside wall of my printer cabinet, and still give a usable filament path. So I drew up some parts to utilise a reverse Bowden setup, but with simple press fit holes for 4mm tubing to keep it light and simple. (Also did a matching non-bowden piece, cause OCD..) I used standard Capricorn tubing for the bowden, but any 4mm OD tube should work fine. Also needed to get a spool holder in position, so drew up a bracket to be able to use the standard plastic Prusa support tube. I wanted to be able to quickly remove the spools if needed (as the printers are on pullout trays) and the standard holder has a nice simple rotation locking mechanism. Held in place with normal chipboard screws. Have included following STL's; Spool Holder Wall bracket Left Z-Top with Reverse Bowden attachment Right Z-Top with Reverse Bowden attachment Left Z-Top standard version Right Z-Top standard version Standard MK3s Filament Sensor cover with Reverse Bowden plug BearEXXA Filament Sensor cover with Reverse Bowden plug Print instructionsI printed in PETG, but any material should be suitable. 4 perimeters, 20% Gyroid infill, 0.2mm layers. No supports required.
