REV Driver Hub Case(Hard+Soft Shell)
thingiverse
This is a two layer case to protect your Rev Driver Station. The first layer being TPU or some other flexible/squishy material. The second layer is a hard shell that fully envelops the TPU shell. Print settings: I printed the outer hard shells in PLA 20% infill. The inner TPU(ninjaflex) was printer without any top or bottom layers with an infill of 30%(preferably gyroid). I also only used 1 perimeter for the TPU to give it a little extra squish. The only support you will need is underneath the four bolt holes on "HardBackShell". Assembly/Parts List: The two centered holes on "HardBackShell" take heat inserts that I got from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/initeq-M3-0-5-Threaded-Inserts-Printing/dp/B077CHFGVT The four outer holes require M3-0.5. Any length between 18-20mm long will work. Anything longer and you will bottom out on the plastic which won’t be good. The maximum head diameter must not exceed 5.5mm for those M3-0.5. Additional: The distance between the two mounting holes is 144mm. DISCLAIMER: In no way does this case guarantee any additional protection to your drivers hub, but one would assume it’s better than nothing.
