Rev Battery Box
thingiverse
I designed this Rev Battery Box for our FTC team (#8907 BlueBoxBots). It's specifically tailored to the goBilda hole pattern and M4 bolts, which I believe are also used in Rev channels. The strap provides a secure hold on the battery even when mounted upside down. It can be attached from four sides: left and right sides, bottom, or back. If you use a back mount like we did, the strap will be secured by the goBilda C channel. For side or bottom mounts, the Strap Retainer keeps the Strap in place. You'll need to add a heat set threaded insert on the inside insert for extra strength. To do this, thread the heat set threaded insert through the flange side of the inside insert. A 3mm heat set threaded insert will work well. Here's a helpful video that shows how to install one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSY3H7MhyD0. When assembling the inside insert to the hook, apply a small amount of Loctite and screw it in snugly, but avoid overtightening. We chose Ninjaflex for our strap because it has an impressive 660% elongation. You'll need: - M3X12mm socket cap screw For Strap Retainer Plate: - M4x12mm Socket Cap Screw (available at trimcraftaviationrc.com) - M4 Acorn nut (available at trimcraftaviationrc.com) Box Hook: - Heat set threaded insert (available at trimcraftaviationrc.com) - M3x12mm Socket Cap Screw (available at trimcraftaviationrc.com)
