Reused rope moulding fragment AW1
sketchfab
Fragment of a Caen stone rope-moulding voussoir, now reused as an interior feature in the north-east tower of Rochester Cathedral's North Quire Transept. This piece showcases remarkable signs of fiery reddening. It may well be part of the original east end of the cathedral, which was destroyed by flames in 1179. Bibliography
