A fragment of marble from an unknown form is repurposed within the interior north-east tower of the North Quire Transept at Rochester Cathedral. The fragment showcases distinctive fiery discoloration. It may be part of the earlier east end of the Cathedral, which was destroyed following a fire in 1179. Bibliography
