Reusable shelf system
thingiverse
This construction node enables users to build a shelf whose components can be reused. The frame is attached using wedges that are strategically aligned with the layer orientation to enhance the node's stability. The holding system preserves the integrity of the wood, making it possible for users to reuse it in various projects. Users have the flexibility to create either a larger or smaller shelf or repurpose the wood for other purposes. Building Process: Required Tools: A metal file, a hammer, a piece of wood, a vice, and a drill are necessary for this project. Instructions: - Print the node as designed. - Use a vice to smooth out the male parts of the assembly system with a tiny metal file. - Assemble the components so that the holes in the male and female parts are perfectly aligned. A wooden hammer or a regular hammer with a piece of wood between the 3D-printed part and the hammer can be used for this step (protip). - Drill the required holes (5cm) and install the trunnion. - Cut the square wood to the desired length, taking into account the European standard dimensions of 2.5*2.5cm (as printed). - Tighten the nodes with wedges using a piece of wood and a hammer, paying attention to the orientation of the wedges on the jamb, which should point upwards. - If necessary, remove the wedges using an adjustable plier. - Finish by tightening the nodes securely. - The project is now complete.
