Reusable Screw Top Bottle Cap
thingiverse
As a seasoned home brewer equipped with a keg and draft system, I always grew frustrated that I had to remember to buy bottle caps in order to share my homebrew by the bottle. This ingenious cap system provides an answer to that problem by producing a tight seal on any pop-top style bottle. The cap requires two unprinted parts: a nickel (preferably one that's clean) and a food-safe garden hose-style gasket. Why a nickel, you ask? 3D printed plastic is rarely airtight. Nickels are inexpensive and always the same size, so I figured why not have the gasket press up against a nickel instead of plastic? The nickel creates a tight seal when pressed against the gasket/bottle top. Print without supports with a part cooling fan running at 30%. The nickel and gasket are press-fit into the plastic.
