Reusable 'push-pop' Seedling Cups
thingiverse
I disliked the way seedling trays from the hardware and garden stores worked (and the fact that I had to throw away a bunch of plastic every year), so I threw together this little cup tray for seedling starters. The bottoms are separate to be placed in the bottom of the cups before you place in the soil or seedling puck. This allows you gently push the seedling puck or dirt out without squishing or otherwise damaging the roots, kind of like push-pops! I made them to fit the standard seedling started pucks I buy at Home Depot. You still need a water-catch tray with a clear greenhouse cap, but that should be easy to find in a re-usable form elsewhere.
