Reuleaux Tetrahedron Spheroform with Tetrahedral Symmetry

Reuleaux Tetrahedron Spheroform with Tetrahedral Symmetry

grabcad

A Reuleaux tetrahedron results from the intersections of four equal-radius spheres that are centered at the vertices of a regular tetrahedron. To create a solid of constant width (spheroform), its edges must be radially adjusted. A Meissner tetrahedron has only three rounded edges, either touching the same vertex or surrounding the same face, but this compromises tetrahedral symmetry. The featured model is a spheroform that retains tetrahedral symmetry.
