Reuleaux Rollers
thingiverse
Remarkably, rollers with near-triangular cross sections can transport loads similarly to cylindrical ones. Watch this video and be amazed: http://youtu.be/2CSpXSGFaes. These Reuleaux triangle-shaped rollers were featured in Poul Anderson's sci-fi short story, "The Three-Cornered Wheel." In the Diamond Age PLA on an Ultimaker 1, creating these unique rollers is simple but don't forget to lay down the spacer. Ensure proper end stop fitment by making a prototype and adjusting in your slicer if needed. For a snug fit, you may need a pair of drifts to protect the pre-fitted end from damage.
