I created my own custom buckle design for 1.5" belts, carefully sizing it so the tallest point reaches just over 2" and the width spans a full 3.5". I tracked down a high-resolution logo online, then adapted the outline of a shield to create the backing and frame using an image editing software. Next, I converted the image to SVG format and imported it into Tinkercad for precise sizing adjustments. After that, I printed out my design on a DIY i3 clone kit. I formed 4mm steel rod into a buckle hardware shape by bending and cutting it to size. To secure the hardware in place, I carefully cut slots in the back of the print, recessing them for a seamless fit. Using oil sand, I molded a pewter casting of my design. Once dry, I cleaned up any excess sprue material and minor flashing. Finally, I applied a black coat to the front of the buckle, then sanded it down to restore the logo and frame details.
