Retropie Retrobox Arcade Console
thingiverse
I completely rebuilt the model from scratch, drawing inspiration from the Retropie Console found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469580. Initially, I printed that console for my Retrobox, but it didn't meet my requirements due to its lack of height, making it incompatible with the LED Arcade buttons I used. I then decided to model a custom version in Fusion 360, incorporating and modifying features to suit my needs. My design already included built-in risers at the bottom with holes for securing the pi as well as the arcade joystick control module. A hole was added at the back to allow the USB cable to exit and connect to the pi from behind, enabling me to also pull out the cord and attach it to another Retrobox for use as a second controller. I incorporated hex indents to hold a hex bolt on the inside, securing the top to the bottom. Machine screws were used not only for this purpose but also to secure the joystick in place. The Arcade Joystick and Buttons I utilized can be found at https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01M2X88QP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
