RetroPie Custom Console Case

This is an original design case for the Raspberry Pi, showcasing my passion for RetroPie and creating a console that feels at home under a TV screen. I wanted to avoid cluttered wires and connectors protruding from the sides, so I designed a cavity at the rear to access USB and Ethernet while routing cables to the back. This is the culmination of that design. I utilize SNES controllers to control emulators, and to accommodate these devices, I employed PetRockBlog's RetroPie GPIO Adapter. The initial design featured only SNES ports on the front, but recognizing that not everyone may desire this, I created a 'plain' version as well. Later, after discovering a tweet from PetRockBlog requesting a case compatible with their PowerBlock, I designed the case to incorporate this feature. Unfortunately, since both the PowerBlock and GPIO Adapter utilize the same pins, there is no SNES version available – a realization that hit me only after spending eight hours printing out the case. Most recently, the files have been updated (28/01/2016) with several enhancements over the original design, including more robust stand-offs, better-aligned connector holes, and of course, the PowerBlock version. Each case consists of 4 or 5 printed components. To create a SNES-based case, print: * RetroPie Mk3 Case Lid.stl * RetroPie Mk3 Case Logo Insert.stl * RetroPie Mk3 SNES Lower.stl * RetroPie Mk3 SNES Upper.stl * 9 x No2 6mm Screws To create a plain-based case, print: * RetroPie Mk3 Case Lid.stl * RetroPie Mk3 Case Logo Insert.stl * RetroPie Mk3 PLAIN Lower.stl * RetroPie Mk3 PLAIN Upper.stl * 9 x No2 6mm Screws To create a plain with PowerBlock-based case, print: * RetroPie Mk3 Case Lid.stl * RetroPie Mk3 Case Logo Insert.stl * RetroPie Mk3 PLAIN POWERBLOCK Lower.stl * RetroPie Mk3 PLAIN POWERBLOCK Upper.stl * RetroPie Mk3 Case POWERBLOCK Standoff * 8 x No2 6mm Screws * M2 x 19mm Bolt * 5mm LED * SPST Rocker Switch (RS Part No. 419794 or any that requires a panel cutout of 19.0 to 19.4mm)
