Retro Steamer Trunk

I scored an amazing deal on an 80's mahogany two drawer filing cabinet at my family garage sale - nobody else wanted it, but I knew its potential. Sorry, I don't have a before picture to show the real state of disaster it was in, but trust me when I say it looked even worse than the light brown one you see here. To give you an idea, a construction-grade 2 x 4 was cut into thin slices, which were then sanded and stained with epoxy to create a unique design. The 3D printed pieces were carefully crafted to resemble an old steamer trunk, while the four decorative accents added a touch of elegance. Each piece was primed and painted with metallic acrylic paints before being finished with water-based varathane. The result is a one-of-a-kind furniture piece that's also incredibly functional as a home filing cabinet. I'm already planning my next project - transforming a metal filing cabinet into a faux hammered copper piece, complete with the same wood and 3D printed details. What do you think of this idea?
