A Custom Retro 386/486 PC Tower Case Designed for Raspberry Pi 4 Created Specifically for the Dosbian Facebook Group. To Complete This Project, You Will Need: * A Full-Size HDMI Female to Micro HDMI Male Adapter * A USB C Extender (Male to Female) * A 40mm 12v Fan * A 7mm Push Switch * Four M3 Screws and Bolts for the Fan * Eight 2mm Mounting Screws for the Pi and Lid * A 3.5mm Panel-Mountable Audio Jack, a 3.5mm Plug with Cable, Some Soldering (for Routing Audio If Needed) * Four Female GPIO Jumper Cables for Connecting Activity LEDs * Two 3mm LEDs, Recommended One Green and One Red, for Activity LED and Power LED in the Front Activity/Power LED Instructions: * Cut Off One Connector on Each Jumper Wire, Leaving One Female GPIO Connector on Each Cable * Shorten Legs on LEDs and Solder Wires * Connect Power LED to GND and GPIO 14 (TXD) * Connect Activity LED to GND and GPIO 19 * Mount in Holes with a Small Blob of Hot Glue or Epoxy Behind * Add This to the Bottom of Your /boot/config.txt File: dtoverlay=pi3-act-led,gpio=19 WARNING: Check Which Voltage Your LEDs Need, as the GPIO Will Output 3.3v; You WILL Need to Add a Resistor to the Positive Side of Your LEDs If Not Using Blue LEDs, Which Usually Require 3-4v. Red and Green LEDs Typically Require Around 2.3v and May Need Resistors. 3v Applied to a Red or Green LED Will Cause It to Burn. Be Careful with Polarity, as Some LEDs Can Be Damaged by Incorrect Polarity. Optional: * A MicroSD to Standard SD Extender with About 15cm Flex Cable for the Floppy-Like Slot (Not Required But a Nice Touch) For Mounting Female Ports Inside the Case, Epoxy is Recommended. I May Update the Design with Mounting Brackets When I Get the Cables, but Don't Hold Your Breath If Epoxy Works Fine. Raspberry Pi 3 and VGA666 Board Designs Are Coming Later On. *************************************************** ******************** UPDATES: ******************** *************************************************** 2020-05-15: Added a Version with a Cutout for a 3.5mm Audio Jack by Request 2020-05-15: v7, Increased the Front SDCard Slot, Which Was a Bit Tight 2020-05-16: v8, Added Activity and Power LEDs to the Front by Request 2020-05-16: Added a Version Without Powerswitch in Front, Moved the LED to Look Better Without Powerswitch by Request 2020-06-07 Adjusted USB Placement for Better Fit, Changed the Back Fan Grill to Honeycomb, Which Should Be Easier to Print and Looks Better.
