Raspberry Pi 3 case comes in a stylish retro design package. I used Revell 3mm plywood from my local crafting store, Michaels. The plywood cuts smoothly on my K40 laser cutter with a 300 mm x 200 mm sheet size. Attach the back plate first and then secure the Raspberry Pi 3 to the base using 1/4" nylon stand-offs. Two nylon nuts in the base plate hold everything together while 12mm nylon screws close the case securely. Note that the Raspberry Pi 3 requires custom mounting due to its lack of standard 3mm holes, which is quite a design oversight! To solve this issue, I drilled out the holes on the pi board to fit my four nylon screws perfectly, using a 1/8" drill bit.
