Retro Motel Sign

This motel sign is perfect for adding a touch of nostalgia to your model train layout or diorama. I created it specifically to complement the classic Plasticville motel kit, which sits proudly at its base. For printing in HO scale, I optimized the design by setting the rocket's thickness to 4.2mm and the arrow's thickness to 7mm, including the lettering. To ensure the arrow's lettering remained sharp, I printed it in two halves, positioning one half below the print bed with 50% of its thickness. This simple trick paid off beautifully. The pole is a sturdy piece of brass rod measuring approximately 1.5mm in thickness. I secured the sign pieces to the rod using super glue. If you want to print the sign in a different scale, keep in mind that you'll need to adjust the thickness accordingly.
