Retro/Modern USB Powered Stereo Speaker
thingiverse
I built a USB powered speaker out of scraps, including an eBay-bought 3 watt per channel amplifier and some leftover JVC speakers from a Parts Express buyout. The USB and 3.5mm input ports were sourced from salvaged cables. For a low-budget computer speaker, it sounds fairly good but won't fill a room with sound. To build this project, every part will likely need to be enlarged by about 1000% to achieve acceptable performance.
