Retro Game Controller
grabcad
This Retro Style Game Controller Box for Raspberry Pi was designed for smaller 3D printers and without 'supports'. It features no external fasteners except screw holes for easy assembly. Designed to work with the Arcade Bonnet from Adafruit, it allows for sound from the arcade controller instead of the display device. The model uses 30mm arcade-style buttons and a real joystick. However, due to space constraints, the box is tall. The speaker's mount is split across two main bodies to keep the halves together. Created in SolidWorks, this design required learning new tools and tricks within the software. Printer settings for PLA include tight tolerances (approx. 0.5mm) and specific heatbed temperatures for optimal printing results.
