Don't you just despise those ugly webcams, game cameras or sensor bars above your television? I've devised a retract that mechanically conceals those unsightly sensors behind the TV when not in use. I personally control the servo with a budget-friendly Wemos D1 mini board. I wirelessly connected it to a Homey Domotica system that also monitors my PlayStation's power consumption and activates it on the PlayStation's power usage. But there are numerous Wemos (ESP8266) servo examples online for you to customize it to your liking (MQTT, phone control or maybe just a simple push button). Alternatively, use no servo at all. If you tighten the screws a tiny bit more, you can move the lift manually. The mechanism is designed to fit snugly behind the television. It boasts 5.5CM of travel movement behind the TV, so you'll need approximately 6CM (2.36 inch) of space behind it. I secured it with double-sided tape. I've created three distinct "clamps": - A PlayStation camera version (the cylindrical one) - A PlayStation camera + Wii bar version stacked together (flat bar on top, see pictures) - A Flat base version for Xbox cameras or other webcams or sensors. Feel free to use it as a base for your own project. If you're using a Wemos D1 mini board, you can utilize the Wemos enclosure. Otherwise, use the servo clamp. It fits a standard-sized servo, like a Futaba S3003. Or use no servo at all, and manually pull the retract up. If you tighten the joints a little bit more, it will stay up due to friction. 3mm holes are meant for loose connections (hinges), while 2.5mm holes are designed for tight screwing in place. If you decide to use my design, please share your "make" with others.
