Retractable, flat, small ballpoint pen for A7/Pocketmod notebook
thingiverse
I needed a small pen that fits inside my Pocketmod disposable A7 notebook, and it had to be compact enough not to take up too much space. I also wanted a retractable nib so it wouldn't dirty its carrying case or the notebook itself. To create this custom pen, cut a ballpoint refill to 54mm in length and insert it into the plunger. If necessary, secure the nib to the plunger with some tape. Next, push the plunger into the pen body, making sure the clip is aligned over the holes on the side of the body. To access the nib, press down on the plunger. To retract the nib, press the clip down and then slide it up. When you need to replace the nib, retract it first, then press the clip down while applying constant pulling pressure until the plunger comes loose. Release the clip and remove the plunger. I combined multiple Pocketmods to create a notebook with enough pages to be useful. Each Pocketmod is connected by inserting one into the last page of another and securing them together with a rubber band. To protect everything, I used an A6 postcard as a cover.
