Our office recently purchased some retractable belt barriers for social distancing purposes, similar to those found in banks or movie theaters that direct traffic flow. However, I wanted to find a way to secure the last unused belt to a wall, effectively increasing the barrier's length by 6 feet. To achieve this, I measured the existing coupler using a caliper and created an attachment solution. The design includes screw holes for added stability. Our company uses Uline barriers, but I believe most, if not all, similar products employ this same connection style. This modification should prove helpful to others seeking to expand their barrier system.
